Artist in Residence Program

CFA Artist in Residence Program brings artists from all over the US to either CMP or CFSP for 1-2 week residencies. During their time in the parks, the artists create art inspired by the forest and donate one piece of art to CFA. A large part of the collection is on display at the CFSP Visitor's Center

Artists are invited to apply online at for a 1-2 week residency in Catoctin Mountain Park during May or September. During the residency, the artist will present a public program and then donate one piece of art to the CFA. All applications are due by February 15th and will be juried by a panel of professional artists. Winning applicants will be notified by mid-March. Applications should be submitted via email to  with photos of images that are sized for web or email.  Videos can be saved on YouTube and a link sent via email.
