The Catoctin Forest Alliance (CFA) Artist in Residence Program brings artists from all over the US to Catoctin Mountain Park for 1-2 week residencies. Artists stay in historic cabin #16 at Camp Misty Mount. The cabin has electricity, running water, a bathroom, a small kitchenette with sink, microwave and small refrigerator. It has three bedrooms with twin beds. Pets are not allowed and there is no smoking.

Artists are invited to apply online for a 1-2 week residency in Catoctin Mountain Park during May or September. The dates for 2018 are May 6-19 and September 9-22. During the residency, the artist will present a public program or demonstration. At the end of the residency, the artist will donate one piece of art to the CFA.  All applications are due by February 15, 2018 and will be juried by a panel of professional artists. Winning applicants will be notified by mid-March. Applications should be submitted via email to [email protected]  with photos of images that are sized for web or email.  Videos can be saved on YouTube and a link sent via email.  There is a $20 non-refundable registration fee which will entitle the applicant to a one year CFA membership and the quarterly newsletter, The Catoctin Forest Alliance Bulletin.

A check made out to Catoctin Forest Alliance should be mailed to:
